Meet The Team

Meet the team at Treehouse Craft Cannabis

Wes

Wes Ritchie (Co-CEO)

Seeds (Education)
Wes has a B.A. from The University of Massachusetts and his J.D. from Suffolk Law School. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Growth rings (Experience)
Wes is a political campaign consultant and Founder and Principal of Blue Barn Strategies where he led several winning campaigns including that of Yvonne Spicer the first-woman of color to serve as mayor in Massachusetts. Wes has also worked in the Massachusetts State House as Chief of Staff for Senator Barbara L’Italien and served on the Senate Marijuana Committee as an advisor regarding home-grow regulations.

Heartwood (Passions)
Wes lives in Boston, where he enjoys gardening, and spending time with his boyfriend.

Branches (The Fun Stuff)
If you happen to be in Provincetown, Wes’ favorite vacation spot, you might see him dancing to Robyn, or belting out Spice Girls or Britney at karaoke. One a more low-key evening this muggle might be binging one of the eight Harry Potter films.

While Wes has been running campaigns since he was (essentially) in diapers, he has had some other employment experience including his first job at one of those long forgotten, but much beloved, video rental stores. He also was an Assistant Manager at Spirit Halloween, which he describes as ‘hell’.

While Wes remembers playing in nature and catching frogs as a kid, he also remembers his first time getting high in the mall parking lot with high school friends who will absolutely be Tree House Cannabis visitors.

Ture Turnbull (Co-CEO)

Seeds (Education)
Ture has both a B.A. and a M.S. from Northeastern University in Public Administration and Urban and Regional Planning. He has also done post-graduate studies at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Growth rings (Experience)
As the Executive Director of MassCare and a Commissioner on the Commission for LGBTQ Youth, Ture’s incredible experience working in politics in Massachusetts bridges the divide between policy and humanity. Earlier in his career, he also worked as a legislative director and a budget analyst in the Massachusetts Senate Ways and Means committee.

Heartwood (Passions)
Ture comes from a huge family, with eight sisters and three brothers. Currently Ture lives in Boston, MA with his rescue dog My Boy Bleu.

Branches (The Fun Stuff)
If you were stuck on an island with Ture you would be comforted by the items he chose to bring: An album of Beethoven’s 9 symphony – which he learned to love from his father – and the most amazing never-ending bowl of his mother’s chicken soup.

While Ture’s earliest memory is taking ALL of the Flintstone Vitamins in the cabinet and being rushed to the hospital, he also has fond memories of skiing in Lake Tahoe with his family.

A story that only Ture can call his own is… One night (after a few celebratory martinis) he gently and politely wiggled through a small group of men and into a store in Boston. Realizing the store was closed, he wiggled back out with a breezy “excuse me, pardon me, excuse me”. Ture came to quickly realize he had inadvertently thwarted the men’s attempted armed robbery, which he brought to a non-violent end.

Jess

Jess ADELMAN (Procurement & Product)

Seeds (Education)
Jessica graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Regis College. She also holds a M.S. in Global Health from National University of Natural Medicine in Portland Oregon.

Growth rings (Experience)
Jessica’s work with MassCare, Lovejoy Surgicenter, Adoption Journeys and other organizations has always combine her commitment to studying the healthiest ways of living with her unmatched ability to understand statistics, logistics and all of the nitty-gritty analytics that most people can’t.

Heartwood (Passions)
One of Jessica’s proudest accomplishments is her family: Her toddler Ronan, fiancé and pooch who all live with her in Somerville.

Branches (The Fun Stuff)
If you were stuck on an island with Jess you’d be listening to Kendrick Lamar while eating pizza and giggling with Kyle – her fiancé, not her co-worker.

While she can’t stop herself from dancing to Missy Elliot she is more likely to sing bass like Johnny Cash if given a microphone.

While Jess may have once forgotten her Bumble date’s name she will always remember taking a huge swig of her nana’s ice water as a toddler only to discover it was gin and tonic.
