Historical Context: The first known appearance of Trainwreck was in Arcata, California — a city in North Cal’s Emerald Triangle — in the 1970s. It is alleged to have been grown next to railroad tracks, which were necessary to transport Redwood Tree lumber down the coast. Legend has it that two brothers crossed a Mexican x Thai Sativa with an Afghani Indica, and while they were heading to harvest, a train crashed near their spot.
